Privacy Policy — Padfall (iOS)

Effective date: 14 October 2026

Padfall is a single-player game for iPhone made by BRADLY MICHEAL PLUMMER-RIX ("we"). Contact: skyflip2026@gmail.com.

This policy describes Padfall. Version 1.0 contains no advertising, analytics, accounts or purchases. Starting with version 1.1, Padfall is supported by advertising (see section 3) and offers optional paint schemes as in-app purchases (see section 3a). The policy covers three kinds of information: your game progress and settings, which stay on your device; advertising data, which the advertising service processes to serve ads once you have answered the personalization question; and email you send us, which we hold. Each is described below with how it can be deleted.

1. What the app stores on your device

Padfall saves your game progress and settings on your device only: which campaign missions are unlocked, your best score and grade for each mission, your best Cadence total, and whether sound and screen shake are on. This information is stored in the app's own storage on your device. It is not sent to us or to anyone else.

2. What the app does not do

Padfall does not require an account and has no analytics of its own. It does not ask to track you across other apps and websites, does not access your location services, camera, microphone, photos or contacts, and does not send your gameplay or settings over the internet. Version 1.0 shows no ads at all; from version 1.1, Padfall shows ads (section 3).

If a future version adds any other service that collects information, this policy will be updated before that version is released.

3. Advertising (version 1.1 and later)

Starting with version 1.1, Padfall is supported by advertising: a small banner on the main menu and an occasional fullscreen ad after a landing or crash (never during a flight), served by Unity LevelPlay (ironSource mediation and Unity Ads, operated by Unity Technologies). There is no setting that turns ads off and no purchase that removes them.

Before the first ad, Padfall asks once whether ads may be personalized; the question also tells you that running the advertising service stores and reads information on your device and sends ad requests with device information, and that either answer starts it. If you decide later, the advertising service is not started and no ads are requested until you answer, so nothing new is stored or sent for ads. Personalization is never switched on without your answer. If you choose Non-personalized ads only, the advertising service is told that you have not consented and serves non-personalized ads; if you choose Allow personalized ads, it may use your device's advertising identifiers to personalize ads. You can also choose Not now: then no ads are requested until you answer, the game plays normally, and the question returns at the next launch. You can change or withdraw your answer at any time under Privacy options on the main menu: the advertising service is told immediately and the new answer applies to every ad requested from then on; ads already loaded under the previous answer are discarded without being shown, and ads continue in the mode you chose. If the advertising service cannot be told of your change, no ads are requested until it has been.

Running the advertising service at all means storing and reading information on your device and sending ad requests, which happens only after you answer the question. You can withdraw that consent under Privacy options ("Withdraw consent to the ad service"): Padfall then stops requesting ads at once, discards loaded ads, and does not start the advertising service at later launches; the game stays fully playable, and you can consent again from the same place. One limitation: the advertising software already running in the current session cannot be shut down by the app, so information it has already sent or holds in memory is not affected until you next launch Padfall. If you chose "No ads" in an earlier 1.1 test build, Padfall asks the question again and requests no ads until you answer; that earlier choice is never read as permission to process data or to personalize.

To serve and measure ads, Unity's software in the app processes information such as your device's advertising and vendor identifiers (Padfall does not request tracking permission, so the advertising identifier is not available to it), device and app information, coarse location derived from your IP address, and your interactions with ads (views, clicks). Unity uses this information under its own privacy policy: unity.com/legal/privacy-policy (game-player section: unity.com/legal/game-player-and-app-user-privacy-policy), which also explains your choices, including Unity's data access and opt-out options. We do not receive personal information from the advertising service; we receive aggregated reporting. Padfall signals "do not sell or share" to the advertising service for everyone and does not flag the app as directed at children (it is not).

3a. In-app purchases (paint schemes, from version 1.1)

Padfall sells optional paint schemes for the booster as one-time (non-consumable) in-app purchases through Apple. Apple handles the payment, your Apple Account and any authentication; Padfall never sees your payment details. The app receives from Apple only the verified purchase record for each paint (the product identifier and its status) and stores on your device which paints you own and which one you equipped. Padfall sends none of this anywhere, reports no purchase to the advertising service, and uses no analytics. "Restore purchases" in the Paint shop asks Apple for your purchases on the same Apple Account. A paint purchase changes nothing about advertising: it grants no advertising consent, does not remove ads and does not affect your privacy choices. Refunds are handled by Apple; a refunded paint disappears from the shop and the booster returns to Original Silver.

4. Email you send us, and this website

The app's Privacy and Support links open this website in your browser. It is hosted on GitHub Pages. The pages themselves set no cookies and contain no analytics or third-party content. GitHub, the host, logs and stores the IP address of every visitor for security purposes, whether or not the visitor is signed in to GitHub (GitHub's documentation: "When a GitHub Pages site is visited, the visitor's IP address is logged and stored for security purposes, regardless of whether the visitor has signed into GitHub or not" — docs.github.com). That logging is done by GitHub under GitHub's Privacy Statement, not by us; we do not receive those logs.

If you email us at skyflip2026@gmail.com, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to write, and we use it only to handle your request and reply to you. We keep correspondence about this game for at most 12 months after your request is resolved, and we delete it earlier when it is no longer needed. Two narrow exceptions: if an issue you raised is still open, we keep that thread until it is resolved, and the 12-month limit then runs from that point; and if a law requires us to keep a particular message for longer, we keep that message only for as long as the law requires.

You can ask us to delete your correspondence with us about this game at any time by emailing the same address — please put "Deletion request" in the subject line so we can find it. We handle deletion requests separately from routine support, and where a law sets a deadline for answering such a request, that deadline applies.

Deleting your data — by kind

  1. Deleting Padfall from your device removes its saved progress and settings from that device; "offloading" the app (an iOS feature) removes the app but keeps its documents and data, so progress returns if you reinstall. The same applies to the record of which paint schemes you own and which one you equipped: deleting the app removes that record from the device, while the purchases themselves stay with Apple and come back through "Restore purchases" in the Paint shop on the same Apple Account (the equipped choice does not, and refunded purchases do not return). Backup behaviour is controlled by iOS; we make no promises about device backups.
  2. Emails you exchanged with us about this game are deleted on request at skyflip2026@gmail.com, and otherwise at most 12 months after your request is resolved — earlier when no longer needed, subject to the two narrow exceptions in section 4.

Children

Padfall is not offered in the App Store's Kids category and is not directed at children under 13. The app collects no personal information from anyone, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Padfall has no accounts, purchases or chat; ads (version 1.1 and later) are not directed at children.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page and its effective date.
