PLANKBURST for iPhone and iPad · Effective date: 21 October 2026 · updated the same day for the release configuration with ads enabled, and on 22 October 2026 to name both ad networks in the section 4 heading and to add the Unity Ads disclosure detail (SDK user identifier, purchase history, ad reports), and later the same day to say how the ad-quality component's device-keyed data is treated in the App Store's App Privacy section, and that this section is still being prepared · updated again on the evening of 22 October 2026 with Unity’s published child-directed guidance for the ad network, the ad-quality component’s own identifier, and the status of the question put to Unity (sections 4, 5 and 7) · later on 22 October 2026: the App Store App Privacy answers were entered (section 5) and the wording on non-personalised ads now describes what the game requests (sections 4 and 7) · updated on 28 October 2026 for version 1.0.1: an ad can appear after three ended runs (the earlier 90-seconds-of-play condition is gone; everything else about ads, consent and tracking is unchanged) · updated on 23 October 2026 for version 1.0 build 20: ads are now optional and permission-based – the age band and ads choice, Apple’s tracking permission, the withdrawal controls in Settings > PRIVACY & ADS, the removal of the ad-quality module and the App Store App Privacy answers (sections 1, 4, 5, 7, 8 and 9)
This policy describes how PLANKBURST ("the game", "we") handles information. PLANKBURST is made by Bradly Plummer, an independent developer. Questions and privacy requests: skyflip2026@gmail.com.
PLANKBURST has no accounts and no sign-in. Everything the game itself keeps is saved only on your device, inside the game's own data container:
We do not upload this information anywhere and we operate no servers of our own. There is no cloud copy: deleting the game deletes these values from the device and they cannot be recovered. "Offloading" the app (an iOS feature) keeps its data, so they return if you reinstall. Purchases are different: they belong to your Apple Account and can be restored (section 3).
PLANKBURST offers one-time purchases: twelve runner skins (US $1.99 each) and Remove Ads (US $4.99); the Original Runner is always free. Purchases are made through Apple's App Store with your Apple Account. We never see or store your payment details. Prices shown in the Shop come from Apple in your local currency.
When you buy or restore, Apple gives the game a signed transaction record (product identifier, transaction identifiers, purchase date, ownership type such as Family Sharing, and your App Store storefront). The game uses it only to unlock what you bought and keeps the local ownership record described in section 1. Restore Purchases (Settings > Purchases) asks Apple to resynchronise your purchases for the same Apple Account; it never charges you again and it does not restore local scores or settings.
Purchases are handled with Unity Technologies' In-App Purchasing software ("Unity IAP"). Unity IAP sends purchase events to Unity: the product, its price and currency, Apple's transaction identifiers and signed transaction information, the game's bundle identifier and version, device information (model, operating system, language and region, disk size, time since boot), the time the game was installed, and Apple's identifier for vendors (a device identifier). PLANKBURST uses no other Unity service (no Unity account, analytics or cloud project), so the game creates no Unity player or installation identifier for you; the purchase events can carry such Unity identifiers only in games that use those services. The device and transaction identifiers link the events to your device, so this is personal data even though the game has no accounts and never sends your name or email. Unity processes transaction and purchase data on our behalf to operate the purchasing service, and separately as an independent controller for its own financial reporting, legal compliance, security and fraud prevention, under the Unity Game Player and App User Privacy Policy. Unity keeps order records until we or you ask for their deletion and its service logs for 90 days (Unity's published figures). Unity's own uses of this data are governed by the policy linked above; whether purchase events are also used for advertising measurement across apps is not stated in Unity's documentation and has not yet been confirmed with Unity. This section will be updated when that confirmation exists. No such event is sent until you start a purchase. Then, separately, starting a purchase, cancelling or failing it, completing it, and the later completion of a purchase that was paid but not yet delivered to the game (for example after Ask to Buy approval) each send an event.
PLANKBURST can show short full-screen interstitial ads through Unity LevelPlay, using the ironSource Ads and Unity Ads networks (all Unity Technologies). Ads are optional: no ad is shown and the ad software is not started unless you allow it (below); software started in a session stays loaded until the app closes. When ads are allowed, an ad can appear only after at least three runs have ended, and only when the Run Over screen appears after such a run (while the game is stopped); after the ad closes you are back on the same Run Over screen, and Run Again and Menu never start an ad. Never during a run, while paused, on the menu, or during a purchase or restore. After an ad, the count starts again (three more ended runs). Time in the menu, paused or in the background does not count. An ad is not shown every time: one must be available, and none is shown once you own Remove Ads (the ad software is not started for an owner).
When the ad software can run. On the first launch the game asks for your age band (under 13, 13 to 17, 18 or older) and, if you chose 18 or older, whether to allow ads. If you allow ads, the game then asks iOS for App Tracking Transparency permission (Apple's own dialog, shown once per installation). The ad software (LevelPlay with the ironSource Ads and Unity Ads network components; the ad-quality module is not included) is started only when all of the following hold: you do not own Remove Ads (your purchases are checked with Apple at each launch before anything starts), you chose 18 or older, you allowed ads, and iOS tracking permission is allowed. In every other case – while a choice is still open, after you decline, after you withdraw, and when tracking is denied, restricted or not yet answered – the ad software is not started at that launch and no ad is shown. The age band is a neutral choice kept on your device; the game asks no birth date and does not verify it.
What the ad software collects once you have allowed ads and tracking, and sends to Unity/ironSource: your device's advertising identifier (IDFA) and Apple's identifier for vendors, your IP address and the country derived from it, device and app information (model, operating system, language, screen size, connection type, app version), ad activity (ads requested, shown, clicked, closed) and performance data about the ad software. Unity's own disclosure for the Unity Ads network also lists an SDK-level user identifier and purchase history among the data that network may process (the game itself passes no purchase information to the ad software, but Unity receives the game's purchase events through Unity IAP, section 3), and a report you make about an ad through the ad's own controls goes to Unity. The networks use this data to choose, personalise and measure ads, which includes linking it with data from other companies' apps and sharing it with their advertising partners and attribution companies – that is “tracking” in Apple's sense, which is why iOS asks for your permission first – and to pay for ads, prevent fraud and operate the ad service. The game tells the ad software that you consented to advertising, that you have not opted out of sale or sharing, and that you are not a child; it never sends those signals for anyone under 18, anyone who has not chosen, or anyone who declined. The ad provider's practices and retention are described in the Unity Game Player and App User Privacy Policy (ironSource is part of Unity). The game's configuration also lists ad-network identifiers for Apple's SKAdNetwork, Apple's privacy-preserving ad-attribution system, which involves no identifier about you.
Withdrawing. Settings > PRIVACY & ADS lets you change the age band, switch ADS off or on, and reach Apple's tracking setting. Switching ads off tells the ad software that your consent is withdrawn and that you opt out of sale or sharing, discards the ad it holds, requests nothing further and does not start the ad software at later launches; an ad already on screen finishes normally. Ad software that has already started cannot be stopped inside the running session (its maker offers no such control); it stops when the app is closed. Turning tracking off for PLANKBURST in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking has the same effect as soon as the game returns to the foreground, and at every later launch. We asked Unity on 22 October 2026 to confirm details of its data sharing; the answers in this policy and in the App Store's App Privacy section do not depend on that reply, because this version asks for your permission before any such processing can happen.
Current state: ads are optional and permission-based in version 1.0 as submitted (build 20). Before the game is on the App Store, test builds may receive the ad provider's test advertisements or no advertisements at all; live advertisements start when the game is released. If the way ads work changes in a future version, this policy will be updated before that version is released.
The game ships Apple privacy manifests for Unity, Unity IAP and the ad software (the ad-quality module is no longer included). They declare that these components may read file timestamps, free disk space, system boot time and user defaults for their own functionality. The App Store product page's “App Privacy” section is entered from the facts in sections 3 and 4: a device identifier (declared as used for tracking, because the ad networks may use the advertising identifier that way once you allow ads and tracking), coarse location, a user identifier, purchase history, product interaction, advertising data, other usage data, performance data and device characteristics, each declared as linked to you; it becomes visible on the product page once published and the game is on the App Store. The ad software collects nothing for players who have not allowed ads and tracking, because it is not started for them.
If you email skyflip2026@gmail.com, we receive your email address and what you write, and we use them only to answer you and to handle any follow-up. We keep a support thread only as long as needed to answer you and handle any follow-up, and we delete it when you ask; we have not set a fixed routine retention period. Email is handled by Google (Gmail) under Google's terms.
PLANKBURST is made for teenagers and adults: its marketing is aimed at players aged 13 and over, and it is not part of Apple's Kids category. The game asks for no personal information beyond a neutral age band, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children: for players who choose under 13 or 13 to 17, and for anyone who has not chosen, the ad software is never started, so no ad data about them is collected at all. Only players who choose 18 or older are offered ads, and the ad software is told that they are not children. The age band is not verified. If the audience position or the ad configuration changes, this section will be updated first.
